Let's be honest. Our little bundle of joys don't always look like Gerber babies fresh out of the delivery room - or even during those first few months. I'm working on an article for Pregnancy magazine that will serve as a head-to-toe guide of what "real" newborns (as in those not born on TV sitcoms) may really look like. I need a quote or two from moms who were surprised by their newborn's appearance. Maybe you found their conehead funny or perhaps their baby acne surprised you. Were there freakishly long nails a bit alarming, or did Junior’s cradle cap make you secretly say, “Ewwwww”? Also, if you have a quote that will reassure moms that baby just gets cuter with every passing week and that her newborn acne-prone fascade is only temporary, that would be great, too. Email me at kmwicker@gmail.com if you think you have anything to share. Thanks!

In my previous query, I wrote "there freakishly long nails..." instead of "their." Sorry for the oversight. I look forward to hearing from moms and dads out there!!!
