This is Angela Hoy,

This post by Rose Desrochers has been deleted.

Rose Desrochers of todays-women.net was using the WritersWeekly.com forum to attack companies she had no business relationship with. While most of the posts represented her opinions, these "opinions" were obviously meant only to upset others and draw them into heated arguments. These "opinions" were also clearly displayed as a way to harm reputations.

Mrs. DesRoschers has every right to be upset at the responses she has been given via e-mail by my husband, Jeff and to some of the responses I have made after she posted several warnings about my site. Because our responses were unprofessional, despite our possibly misguided perspective, I wish to extend a sincere apology to her and to her husband.

I cannot refute her statements regarding our responses, so we can only review the way we conduct business with other webmasters to insure this never happens again.

We were wrong, and I cannot express how truly sorry I am to have let this become the mess that it is.

As to our sites being a scam, I must make a rebuttal. Literary Escape consists of a simple writing community that is free to the members. We do have options available to members who wish to add extra storage space for their blogs and for their personal websites. In an effort to keep the site running, it was our members who actually suggested creating this feature. Anyone who visits the site can sign up for a completely free account which gives them access to the clubs and forums, blogs and personal websites, articles and more.

Concerning Poetry Scams dot com, I am making every effort to ensure that it only lists valid scams, rather than angry rebuttals to valid complaints. We will continue to keep a link to Literary Escape on that website, but I will look in to making it completely clear that we do in fact own both of those websites.

I can understand why this may appear to be a scam, and Mrs. DesRoschers is right to point out suspicious attributes of writing websites to the writing community.

Devrie, perhaps you could ask Angela, the moderator of this site? She's known to have a good head on her shoulders. Best of luck.

Rose, I’ll let others judge for themselves as to whether your banning was as you say. But please consider that people may react negatively to you because of how you present yourself, and sometimes you don't come across as being the most literate person. If you want folks to take you seriously, I suggest sticking to the facts.
