UPDATE FROM SCOTT ROSE

-------- Original Message --------
Subject: Marengo up to his tricks again
Date: Sat, 3 Oct 2009 19:41:17 -0400 (GMT-04:00)
From: Scott Rose

Dear Angela:

It has come to my attention that JoJo Marengo has written this:

http://www.indianartnews.com/forum/topics/jojo-marengo-ripoff
____________________________________________________________

In October 2007 Scott Rose approached Umbrella publishing on line and offered to sell them articles on caviar and wine. Umbrella publishing asked for a sample of the articles. He sent only one article titled Caviar. Umbrella publishing agreed to buy the article and printed it. Scot Rose was paid the agreed upon price in full. He never sent Umbrella Publishing any other articles.

______________________________________________________________

Angela, as you were involved in mediating the dispute in the fall of 2007 and saw that I had sent Marengo four articles, and even had acknowledgment from him that he had received four articles from me, I believe this latest nonsense from him should be added to the WritersWeekly complaint about him. And that is particularly so, because in the continuation of his post above, Mr. Marengo warns other publishers against me as "a blackmailer" and "an extortionist."

Mr. Marengo does in fact still owe me $750 as per the original electronic contract he made with me. I do not believe I will ever collect it. However, I feel others in the freelance community should know the extremes to which Marengo will go to discredit them, even after he has violated contracts he made with them.

Many thanks for your consideration, Angela,

Scott Rose
