I am conducting research for a book about how to let go of the negative emotions that come out of painful situations. Like many people, you may have nursed a grudge, been angry, bitter, frustrated, or disappointed about something that happened to you. For example, your heart may have broken when your father favored your brother over you. You may have had a co-worker behave belligerently towards you without provocation, which was distressing and caused you a lot of trouble at work. Some of us have negative feelings and cannot let them go. Then the negativity becomes a black cloud that looms over our lives, affecting not only the moment when something bad happened to us, but our present and our future.
If you have had a painful experience, whether you have managed to let go of the emotional hurt associated with it or not, would you please consider completing the survey posted at
http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.aspx?sm=g ... KPlg_3d_3d? (To get to the survey, either open the hyperlink just listed or cut and paste it into your Internet browser.) Responses will be kept totally confidential. If you have any questions or concerns, please email me at
lhandley1@verizon.net.
Why should you take 15-20 minutes to complete the survey? You may find sharing your experiences cathartic and you will have the satisfaction of knowing that you are helping others learn how to let go. If you are not able to complete the survey, please feel free to share the url
