Wonderful. The first thing I'd do is check to see that all is there, then check her billings against her actions, make sure they match up, and then go on with what you need to do.

Attorneys prioritize according to how much money they are going to make on a case. Period. End of story. It is sad but true.

About the only exception to this hardfast rule that I know of is when an attorney will take a high-profile case because they know it will be good for their career. Point in case: back when the Anita Hill vs. Clarence Thomas case was ongoing, Hill's attorney vaulted into the limelight. Subsequent career stops: governor of AZ and now supposedly going to be nominated to be head of the Dept. of Homeland Secrurity in the new Obama administration.

That's the way it works!

I agree Colleen. This atty came recommended thru a large writing organization and she didn't do squat. There could be some neat stuff in my case that might be of interest to some attys, but I doubt it. I contacted the publishers atty AGAIN and said it's been a month, you haven't responded to what I sent you a month ago, so I'll assume you're in agreement. I heard back in 5 mins saying he would forward it again to the publisher and he hadn't heard anything from the last time. That was a few days ago.
