I'll post this at the bar, too, but since we're tweeing, GrammarGirl just left the link for Elsa's post about names at The Blood Red Pencil:

"GrammarGirl Great blog post about making up names for fictional characters: http://tinyurl.com/5suww2 11 minutes ago from web"

Go read and leave comments. Yeah, daoine!!

Twitter can be useful for business promotion. If you post something useful to your followers every time, they will keep coming back. I don't always post a link, but I do like to follow folks who interest me and post links.

Just something to think about.

Hi everyone! Gosh, I haven't been to the forums in a while. But when I saw the Twitter thread, I had to jump in. I'm a Twitterhead and proud of it. You can find me at www.twitter.com/deafmom. I find it useful to drive traffic and keep up to date on current stuff.

Following deafmom, but I'm surprised more of you aren't leaving your twitter links. And why Elle isn't tweeting is totally beyond me! She would be brilliant in that arena!

I'm at twitter.com/cajun_mama if anyone wants to follow (and I'll follow back) - unless you tweet every time you blow your nose.

I'm following those of you who put your twitter names on here.

I'm going to answer this one in the bar where I feel safer. Thanks for the vote of confidence, though.

Twitter success tips for writers:

Go to my account and follow my tweeps at right. You have 850 to choose from, most are writers, agents, publishers, libraries and librarians. Some green folks, too.

Then go to my account and see what kind of comment mix I have. Must be doing something right since I got a http://www.twitter.grader.com score of 97 yesterday.

Once you follow a few hundred people, about half will follow you back (and you'll get a mailbox notification) and then you'll see how Twitter really works. I visit 3-4 times per day for about ten minutes at least. About half my website hits are now coming over from Twitter comments I leave and live links I post. That's important - leave a link to beef up your comment.

I confess, I've been spending more time over there reading the special election roll. More informative than TV for the debates!
