Not bad for the first week of being unemployed

I'm proud of myself; I've even been looking for another market for my water feature piece. I've really got to get more done/accomplished and get the money coming in though....

Keep up this kind of work and it'll siimply happen.

I accomplished absolutely nothing on my writing list today. However, I DID manage to get my yardsale things ready to go, we got our packages shipped, received the new shipment and I got a call for an interview. I also applied to about 6 more jobs... Image

Tonight I'll be looking up chinchillas, tarot decks and putting my written part to computer from my book. Unless I fall asleep in my chair...Image

I got all the photographs in the proper sequence, realized I'd not changed the date and time format on the camera, so they're all wrong.

Came down with the Horrific Crud that Middle Minion passed along to me. Wait, that was not on my list was it? Can barely sit at the computer for more than five minutes without needing a nap.

Life is on hold. Goal tending will resume when fever drops.

Groovy can't find her novel. Anywhere.

This is NOT a good thing!

*EDIT*

(Groovy finally looks up her old info on NaNoWriMo and says sheepishly, "Oh...THAT's the title?" She goes back and finds it immediately. She had the title of her YA confused with the title of a children's story. One is "The Trouble With Molasses" and the other is "Through the Molasses Swamp". Moral of the story? Never title your tales in the midst of a diet.)

You guys are funny.

So my goals:

This week mine are easy:
1. Finish questionnaire for media panel discussion Finished
2. Edit short story for Wasafari children's edition and submit
3. Get a short story going on BUGS theme Mslexia (What??)Started story
4. Finish short story on desktop
5. Attend panel discussion in Gaborone
6. Go to radio interview on Wednesday (YIKES!)
7. Attend scriptwriting meeting

Okay- I did everything except No. 4 and No. 7, but No. 7 was not my fault, those people are disorganised and we didn't have the meeting which was supposed to be three weeks ago now :( . No. 4 I did edit the story for the nth time but it still needs work.

The radio interview was very nice. I like radio it is very easy to forget that you're not in a room with another person having a conversation. Much better than TV.

Last Week:

Quote:
This Week:

1) Work out 3 times (clears mind for writing). Twice. Too sore.
2) Finish assignment. 1/2 completed. Moved to next week.
3) Answer at least half my correspondence - 4 letters. Completed!
4) Write 2 new stories. Completed!
5) Find some contests to enter for June. Completed!

Of course, there's more that I can add after these are met, but these are the ones I will be accountable for here. Posting the other list would be shooting myself in the foot.

This Week:

1) Send query to magazine. Completed!
2) Read second half of assignment instructions. Completed!
3) Rough draft of second part of assignment. Completed!
4) Work out 2 times, 1 long walk. Completed!
5) Answer a long overdue letter. Completed!
6) Write a short story. 1/2 completed. Moved to next week.
7) Find 3 teen markets for article. Completed!

I've just been editing my original posts, so if you want to see my progress look back, don't expect a bump. I've chosen Sundays for new goal lists.

New week, new post. This is only to keep ME from getting confused!

1) FIND DAY JOB
2) Finish Tarot and other article; post to constant-content.com
3) Find markets for my style of writing
4) Copy current work on book to computer and floppy
5) Look for market for possible advice column

Not many goals but I've still got a lot on my plate.

I only have one goal this week: Make it through the week alive.

Groovy will be volunteering on Thursday and riding (God willing and painful wrist allowing) on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

OK, wait...Groovy actually has 3 goals:

1. Make it through this week alive.

2. Glorify God with her attitude no matter how she feels or how the weather pans out or what circumstances come her way.

3. Take notes each day on all the writing fodder that is bound to come her way during an event of this magnitude.
