I'm looking to interview working women who are juggling a career and household duties (cleaning, cooking, shopping, taking care of kids)...

1. How much "free" time do you have each day after work and house chores are completed? Hours? Minutes?

2. If you had more "free" time in your day, how would you spend that time?

3. Do you share household responsibilties with your spouse? If so, what role does your spouse play in household tasks?

If you're interested, please email your responses to bridal_writer@yahoo.com
Please include your first and last name as well as your occupation and the city/town where you live.

Thanks!

Two questions to clarify: how do you wish to define career? I work part-time outside the home, from 12-22 hours a week, more as available. I also work on my writing career in excess of 12 additional hours a week, which is juggled around household work.

Second: must you have children to be considered for profile in the article? I do not have any (no intention of either), so I don't know if you'd be intererested in my experiences. Just let me know if you are; best of luck!

Thanks for the replies. To answer your first question, you can define career any way you like. Your situation seems very much like a career to me. For the second issue, it doesn't matter whether or not you have children.

Thanks again.

I spent 20 years working 3 jobs while I had kids. Worked my self right into burn out.

Today, I am a full time writer. That means for me I start at 8am and write until 1pm. Then again after dinner from 7-9pm. Inbetween I take a nap and do household stuff.

My husband helps with chores like laundry and dishes and vacuuming. (He was trained well, early.) IMy oldest child is gone and my youngest lives in a cabin on our property and goes to work/school. I dont do much for her except wake her up!

I have less free time when I am actively writing a book. But after the project is complete, I could have a couple months of NOTHING. I just came out of that--too MUCH free time.

What would I LIKE to do with my free time? I live isolated on a mtn so I would like more time OUT with friends. Its just quite a drive to do it.
