We seek a smart New York-based financial writer who is alert to current financial news – ideally, an avid reader of major financial publications, watcher of financial television. Must have a feel for economics, global markets, regulation and some idea of how it all interacts to produce a 2,200-word monthly client newsletter for a well-known stock brokerage firm. Ability to digest data from multiple sources, take a perspective, inject balanced commentary, analysis, and not just report. Steady monthly income for 3-5 days a month of digesting/writing, daily reading of major publications and recommendations of most important topics of the month and how events of month may impact stock sectors and markets.
