I'd appreciate if you would consider posting the following ad on your Website:

Non-fiction YA book writer
OTTN Publishing is seeking a half-dozen experienced freelancers to write short non-fiction books (approximately 10,000 words) for young adults. Subjects may include biographies, history related to the civil rights and women’s movements, social issues, and other social studies-related topics. Writers who have previously written for the educational non-fiction market preferred. Compensation is $1200 to $1400 per title. To apply, mail a cover letter, resume, and writing samples to: Acquisitions Editor, OTTN Publishing, 16 Risler Street, Stockton NJ 08559. (Mail submissions only—no telephone calls or e-mails, please).

I was wondering if someone had any experience writing for this firm.

It seemed to me that their product design was somewhat weak, or perhaps specifically targetted to a particular taste.

it also seemed to me that 10,000 words was short for a 'book' for young adults. It made me question the age of the reader and the purpose of the writing.

I would like to hear impressions of this ad.

Today is my first visit to the forum. Pleased to be here and nice to meet you. And thank you. This looks like a nice place.

Much love,
