Have you lost an ex-husband or ex-wife to death? If that experience was traumatic for you (and/or your children), would you like to share that experience with others in ways that might help them get through? Robyn Thompson, MSW, MPH, and Robbie Davis-Floyd, PhD, are planning to co-author a book on dealing with the death of an ex spouse. We want that book to be about more than just the two of us. We are seeking interviews and possibly chapters from others who have lost ex-spouses, so that we can look for commonalities and differences in our experiences, and hopefully write a book that will call attention to the loss of an ex-spouse as a true and traumatic grief experience that exes often have to go through alone, without the support of family and friends that the current spouse receives. How do you cope when nobody is there to help you cope? How do you deal when your loss is not acknowledged as your loss? How do you find your place and your space in the collective grieving process, and if you can’t, what do you do to get through?

If you are interested in being interviewed for this book, or contributing a chapter to this book, please email Robyn Thompson robyn@jrobynthompson.com and Robbie Davis-Floyd davis-floyd@mail.utexas.edu and tell us a little about your story.
