I know someone who'd make an excellent subject to interview for your article! Her name is Vickie Howell, and she's leading her own movement to "make knitting cool." She has her own television show on the DiY network, has written a few books, is in the process of getting her own magazine, started two knitting clubs and another craft based club, and all of this is for her love of sticks and threads. I am an avid knitter/crocheter, but haven't been a teen in a few years. :) However, I belong to a lot of online groups for both crafts. I've found that www.craftster.org has the youngest members, many of which are teens. If you post something there, I'm sure you'll get a response. Good luck!
