Murrday's post about an accident reminded me of the story a friend told us this year. He lives here in Bangor and has lived in Maine his entire life.

One night, he was driving in a snowstorm and he got stuck. The drifts left the highway with only one lane. He got out of his car and knew it was hopeless. And, he was blocking all traffic. After he got back in his car, a man appeared at the driver's door and offered to help push him out of the way. They both got the car moved over, out of the main lane of traffic. Our friend got back into his car and the stranger walked toward the back of the car.

At that moment, a large truck drove by and was so close that our friend knew if the stranger hadn't helped him move his car, he'd have been hit by the truck. He got out to make sure the stranger was okay, because he hadn't seen him drive away. There was nobody there, and no car. Our friend looked down and only saw his own footprints in the snow.

:)

Anybody else have any guardian angel stories? I have a good one, but it's a long one and I don't have time to type it right now. Will try to in the morning.

Hugs,
Angela

Hi Angela (and others),
Your story sounds very much (errily in fact) like the one my husband told me several years ago. The only difference was that he did not actually see someone, it was more like the car moving on it's own, without any reason to do so (the car had stalled dead, resisting repeated tries to start it).

My husband (logical but open to all possibilities) swears someone or something was with him that night, and saved him, just before he would have been hit and surely killed.

Even though I believed before, this made me feel even more sure, we all have guardian angels.

Ok, I had two.

One was when I was 10 or 11--come to think of it ALL MY PARANORMAL activity began after this night!! A friend and I went to the library and she got books out on witchcraft. It was dark out and we were sitting on a parked car waiting for her mother to pick us up. She was reading those STUPID SPELLS out loud when car headlights came straight for the car we were sitting on. We bailed off and a car smashed into the car we were sitting on. We would have been killed.

Second was when I went to Rio and Sao Paulo Brazil to work with the abandoned street children population. I was teaching a workshop on how to develop social services for the children. The building we were in felt AWFUL (spiritually) and I had commented on it and they told me what it use to be -- something terrible, lets put it that way. So there was alot of spiritual activity in that building. We broke for lunch and walked to a restaurant. On the way back, I looked up just as a car was speeding out of control and it came up on the sidewalk and I jumped back as far as I could go but was now up against a plate glass window of a shop at which time I yelled "Christ help me!". It pinned me to the window and never left a mark on me. The people from the workshop were with me and saw it occur. Everyone was so shakened that they wanted to cancel the rest of the workshop. I refused. If I didnt finish it I couldnt LEAVE THAT CITY and would have to come back the next day...which was definately OUT after this event! We finished but it was evident we had stirred some stuff up in the spirit realm.
