HI....a friend wants to try writing articles at home for pay. She went to LONDON BROKERS site and it looks good, but I'm a bit wary of these places. Have any of you tried this either with this company or another?? Thanks!!

I wrote a few articles for LondonBrokers quite a few months ago.
The pay is very VERY low, but they are a legitimate, honest company--
they pay when they say they will, etc. etc.

Sorry, I don't know of any at the moment. The company I work for isn't currently hiring. You might be able to get some input and job leads at wahm.com forum. There's a section for freelance writers.

Oh boy, the horror of low paying markets. Unfortunately, the low paying content mills reached some ubiquitous level in the last few years. If you are scratching the bottom of the barrel, and have no work and a bill imminent - give it a go. But even then, just Google 'sites paying for articles' and also try 'write for us'. And lots of sites appear. Many will not pay and just accept guest posts though others will pay a fee per article submitted. Just needs your time to wade through the listings.

I have looked at a lot of sites, and some kept me going when I first started content writing for businesses back in 2007. These days, I just use paid guest blogging as a way to get extra money. Probably better if you pitch local businesses, and sell a content writing service to get links to their sites from other sites like blogs, selling a traffic plan basically.

There are good writing job sites like problogger, freelanceswitch and at times work can be quite consistent on greatcontent.

Google those.

Many sites can pay as much as $500 an article, for example, if you know web development, many blogs pay top rates.
