I'm so glad I am not alone in here. Drinking alone is not a good thing. Where's the penguin? Who's going to dance on the tsble this year?

Oh Karen...Your poor laptop! Your poor manuscript! You deserve a drink AND a back rub, but not from me. I give lousy backrubs. ;-)

I'll let Willow do the dancing. She has stilleto heels; I wear orthotics in sneakers. Besides, I'm much more at home with a broom and a mop.

Ok, I just polished the disco ball...

And I've dusted all the seats that Wendy missed. I washed all the bottles and glasses and cleaned the floors and countertops.

I've dusted all the lights and scrubbed the toilets (They REALLY needed it!).

Now c'mon you guys and gals, Let's get this party going with food and music and drinks and decorations and.... Hey wait, What's that over hiding in the corner. Is it??? It Is!!! IT'S THE PENGUIN!!!

"In the beginning was the Word..."

Now I Squidoo!!!

Groovy, I am so happy you have everything cleaned up. Must've been hard. Toilets were a mess, but that's what you get from all those goats. (At least they are semi-potty trained). I see you left your pet dust bunny. The penguin is making a nest in it. Let's turn that bright and clean disco light on and get the party rolling!

Woo-Hoo! I'm here and I'm going to celebrate the end of NaNoWriMo (a successful end, I might add), surviving yet another kidney stone, and a host of other challenges.

I started and now I'm the adviser for the D.I.Y. Book club (a writing club) at my school. The kids really like it, and I think we'll have something awesome to put together by the end of the year. I am lucky to have some very talented kids in that group. Unfortunately, two of them will be moving to high school in the fall. I hope they can find a way to meet up with others and form a group at their new school. They're a fun group, although discipline seems to be a problem as they are under the impression that since it's after school, they can act like animals. I think I finally convinced them that is not the case, but I had to threaten to disband the club in order to do it.

After a lot of thought regarding a series I've been working on that began with a NaNo project, I've decided to give the first book another go-over, finish the third, get the second edited and start submitting. Of course, this will put me in a state of panic and writing paralysis will set in and my brain will look at me and say, "huh?" I'm also giving self-publishing some consideration.

Tam and I are having all six kids over on the 17th of this month for a "Sibling Bake Off" and no, we're not baking any children. They're going to do a lot of baking for the holidays. We'll just be there to referee and offer recipe guidance. Clean up will be done by those who make the biggest mess or who do the least work. Refereeing is a lot of work, so that leaves Tam and I out of that part of it. :)

What's been keeping everyone else busy this year?

**walks in, looks about and seeing nothing but dust and cobwebs begins to busy himself with a complete cleanup, talking to the pictures on the walls the entire time**
Where is everyone?
Now I'm almost sure this place hasn't been forgotten, just everyone is so busy with (ugh) real life that a simple visit is out of the question.
But wait a moment, who said anything about a question?
Why is it OUT of the question when it's obviously the main topic OF the question?
Will the question get an answer?
Will the answer fit the question?
Does the question even deserve an answer?
**having finished cleaning dust and cobwebs he starts to polish glasses and replace broken light bulbs, he continues talking but to the walls and ceiling this time**
Boy this is a whole lot easier than when I did it (ugh) in real life!
Hang on a moment; I always thought forums were part of (ugh) real life?
Aren't forums better than (ugh) real life?
**after finally bringing many things at Willow's Martini Bar back to some form of normal he starts to do some repairs to the barstools, chairs and tables,, all the while talking to them as he works on them**
I wonder if some advertisement might bring this place back to life?
Would a full page add in the local paper bring people back?
Can Willow's Martini Bar truly return to it's glory days?
**now that everything is completely clean, repaired and setting ready for patrons he takes it upon himself to go behind the bar and make himself a double martini, no olives, and sits himself down at a table in the center of the room waiting for some company**

Entering with humor so nigh,
And poetry that could make you sigh.
A mushroom in bloom,
Even well past noon,
(With that read: "He's a fun guy!")
