I am looking to enter a short story young adult story I wrote into a writing contest. Does anyone know of any good, reputable ones?

Thanks!

You might want to check in with the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators. Their _Bulletin_, parts of which seem to be available online, may be useful to you. I notice that the July-August 2003 issue, for example, lists a number of writing competitions. See http://www.scbwi.org/pubs.htm . And good luck!

Best,
Erika D.

Dear Bethg2,
There is a very good competition, run by the prolific Drew McAdam, who has arguably sold more short stories than anyone on the planet.

You'll find details at: http://www.theshortstorywriter.com

Hit the Competition button at the top of the main page.

Oh, and good luck!
Sincerely,
Pat Quinn
