In June of this year (2011) I began providing freelance writing services for ifashionnetwork.com. I was told that I would be compensated $25/article and that I would be paid every 2-3 weeks once my account reached $100. Between June 22 - August 22, 2011, I submitted 22 articles for ifashionnetwork.com (and for their print publication). In that time I was asked to invoice every 2 weeks for my services, which I did. I have yet to be paid for any of my services, though my articles were used on the site. At the moment the articles are still on the site and credited to me. I have sent numerous emails to various contacts at the site (and to the person that the site is registered to) in an attempt to get the matter resolved. All emails have been ignored. I also tried sending an invoice through PayPal, which has been ignored too. I am currently owed $550 for services rendered.
I realize that it was not very smart of me to do $550 worth of work without waiting for payment somewhere along the way, but I will have to live with that mistake now. I just want to make sure that no one else ends up in a similar situation with this website or its owners, iConceptMedia Group.
Thanks for taking the time to read.
