Hi Angela:

I am at my wit's end. While I would much rather collect the remaining
$400 balance that ZSB Writers owes me and keeps promising to pay me, I
am left with no option but to start spreading the word that the company
does NOT pay its writers.

The ironic part is that I have worked on several projects with the
company and it has paid me for some of the projects, while not others. I
have been trying to contact the two representatives of the company to
collect payment with spotty response at best. To provide perspective,
they owe me for projects that were completed in March of this year.

On April 28, 2010 I was told, "SO sorry for the delay. Everyone's so
unresponsive these days. I'm sending you $50 now for the articles and
$200 for the Outsourcing and Referral book later tonight (or max
tomorrow morning...put it on priority for Steven). I'm chasing the
Family Small Business client because she's given me ZERO feedback since
we submitted it and she said she'll get back to me."

I did receive the $50--never received the $200.

The following two months were spent calling the company phone number,
which ALWAYS says that "The number cannot be completed as dialed," no
matter which phone I dial it from and no matter who dials it (I even had
my fiance' dial it.). I also
sent numerous emails that went unanswered and finally resorted to
sending faxes, which did warrant two responses.

It is now June 15, 2010 and I have not received payment, nor heard from
them again from subsequent follow-up attempts. If this is their response
to what they deem a "priority," I hate to see what a non-priority
amounts to them. Spread the word to other
writers to stay away from this company.

In this case, they have simply said "very sorry for the delay", which I
notice is about what they said to the other writer. Zsb owe me between

I noticed that someone else remains
unpaid by the people who never paid me for work and who no longer answer
my emails, ZSB writers.

My investigations to date reveal that the author of the manuscript I
edited had submitted it to Elance. I spoke to Elance, who informed me
that they had never heard of ZSB Writing and that the winner of the bid
obviously subcontracted the manuscript to ZSB. ZSB apparently
subcontracted the same manuscript to me and to at least one other
writer.

I have two different addresses for ZSB Writers and the names Steven Cox
and Stephanie Roberts as principals in this business.

I have kept every email and of course a copy of the edited manuscript
that I was not paid for. There was another project, costume descriptions
that I was also never paid for.

ZSB owes me at least $500, which is really way too low for that assignment
described as a light edit. After I accepted the assignment, not only did
the manuscript require heavy editing, ZSB wanted me to write 70 pages of
additional original material, all for $500.

Let me know what else I can do to help you in your investigations.

work, and then ignoring them, we must assume this is a scam. We are
recommending your victims now report you to the Texas and Nevada
attorneys general. We will be sharing the information we have received
about your firm with them as well.

If you are reselling/publishing these stolen items, and/or if your
alleged clients are publishing these stolen items you and/or they are
also committing copyright infringement. The minimum penalty for that is
$750 per infringement.

Hi Angela,

I saw the complaint about ZSB Writers and I am coming forth with my
complaints too. Two months ago I finished a project for them, it was an
ebook about holistic health. I signed the contract and dated it, with
the payment being $220 and a deadline of one month. I am working in a
full time job and almost became a nervous wreck when i wouldn't get a
response from Stephanie Roberts or Stephen Cox about what the client's
feedback was. I NEVER received any feedback from the client, nor from my
CV which I sent her to see my credentials as a writer. I completed the
project on time on July 8th and still haven't been paid for it. If
anything, Stephanie was constantly pressuring me to complete
everything within 24 hours without telling me what needs to be edited or
proofed. Their services are absolutely useless because they never, ever
provide any feedback.

Please please please, I ask that a full investigation take place to find
these immoral, unscrupulous (people) who've not had the decency to
appreciate or even pay writers like me who are attempting to make a
living from writing. I have e-mails and the contract to prove the
project was completed if you require the evidence
