Has anyone heard of or done business with this company? I've received several email messages from them in the past couple of weeks.

The first few messages showed "info@theauthorconnection.com" as the return address, but the Internet headers showed that the message came from bookstofilm.com.

The most recent messages show "authorconnect@aol.com" as the return address.

The website address in all cases has been www.theauthorconnection.com.

There is another website with a similar name, www.authorconnection.com, but the two do not appear to be associated with one another. I did find a post on another writersweekly forum regarding "authorconnection" but nothing on "theauthorconnection."

I'm curious about others' thoughts on this company.
Thanks.

I have gotten email from them too. They list a bunch of resources that they will hook you up with if you sign up. I contacted some of the resources on the list. Interesting response from all of them...first of all I tried to email radioguests.com and their emails came back although the website exists.

Several of the other author resource listed, when I contacted them about my upcoming books and asked what their fees were, ALL OF THEM told me they 'used authorconnection' and I should go thru them. My impression? They are all author connection, maybe not radio guests (of course I can't get in touch with them) but the rest seem very suspect and all linked to this one source. No one was interested in working with me outside of authorconnection. Angela, what do you know about this??

A correction to the above post: one of the resources listed on authorconnection was PageOneLit which did do a author interview. They were the only ones of the resources listed on authorconnection that either responded, did not seem connected to authorconnection OR something panned out with it. Again, I don't know if all of this is connected or not. Other writers experiences would help put this into perspective for all of us.
