in the same style as our previous listing, so if you have any questions,

When I emailed asking about their new rates, I rec'd this:

Hi, Angela,

There would never be a time when we would not provide compensation for
an article, and, in most cases, the rates would be negotiable. That being
said, our editor in chief does have certain rates in mind when she negotiates.

For feature articles, about 35 cents per word. Photos to accompany the
article (other than courtesy photos), would be $35 to $175 per published
photos.

For Grit Gazette items (news and quirky briefs of interest to lifestyle
farmers of 350 to 700 words), $50 to $75 per item.

We¹re also looking for great stand-alone photos of life on the farm, $75
to $150 per published photo.

Also, our new writer¹s guidelines will be posted on our Web site around
September 1.
